Barrister At Law
Joseph is a barrister at law practising in NSW and Queensland with chambers in Sydney and Brisbane.
He practises principally in commercial law, and in particular contractual disputes, building and construction, consumer law, property development/planning, defamation, insolvency and trust matters. He appears regularly in all state and federal courts. He is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator conducting mediations in relation to commercial matters.
Joseph also provides probity, procurement and governance advice to state government and leading private industry entities in respect of major infrastructure projects, which have included the Gold Coast Light Rail stages 2 and 3 and the Sydney Metro City and South West project.
Prior to coming to the bar, Joseph advised upon large property development projects for government, government-owned entities, and private industry including medium and high density residential development, master-planned communities, residential subdivisions, commercial, industrial and special use development.
Joseph regularly presents seminars on a range of legal topics, and has authored a number of research papers in commercial law, contracts, construction law, intellectual property, administrative law, government law, insolvency, consumer law and taxation law.
